I have a golf mark 4 gti that is very idle on start up, it sounds as if it is about to cut out on turn over, infact it has done this. If i turn the ignition off and then start it up again it runs ok. What can the problem be please?

Sounds like a possible fuel problem - blockage / pump / injectors?
u probly need to get the engine cleaned / spray washed (around �30 -40) n how often dya service it? GTI's need to be serviced regularly especially if u put ur foot dwn alot..
