is any body familliar with the bizzar soldering product, under the brand name "cold-heat"? it will melt metal and solder but it is safe to touch, how weard. can anyone tell me how the heck it is able to do this, it truly is amaising. i might get one, i have been burnt badly on the back of my han before with a normal soldering iron, but apperently the "cold-heat" one is 100% safe to touch- weard.

Well, it is safe in the respect you describe, but it doesn't work very handily. In order for it to heat two separated prongs have to touch the material being soldered. This is difficult to accomplish, especially if using one hand to hold the object(s) needing soldering. Additionally, the small space between the prongs often gets filled with soldering material or filings or other stuff and has to be cleaned before it will work. I understand that a new model maybe comming on the market to correct these deficiencies...

Pity.
So it works much the same as an electric welder?
