If you have air-con,  turn it off.  Remove any roof bars and keep all your windows closed.  you will sweat buckets in this weather but you'll save about 5-10% on fuel!!

Thanks.  Somebody once suggested to me that you can save money on fuel by putting the gear lever into neutral and coasting down hills but I'm not sure that you're legally in control of your vehicle when you're driving in this mode, are you?
I can't imagine that having the'box in neutral would mean you were not in control of the vehicle but I suppose it would mean you couldnt accellerate if you needed to.
I think coasting down hill is a good idea but why not just just depress the clutch?

Not racing away from lights & learning to read the road (& therefore rarely having to brake hard) save me petrol.

Have found another website that helps you locate cheap petrol  in your area.

It's:    www/findcheappetrol.com

It relies on members of the public updating the petrol costs at the stations listed and tells you when the last input was made.

I've found that around Beckton (East London) where there is an Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury they are constantly having a price war - I paid 89.4p the other day whilst everywhere else was on the 94p mark.

Buy and fit a Motoflow (10% discount at present on www.trader2000.co.uk) and you will get a saving of 10% plus.  And there's a money back guarantee!!
www.Pipelinecard.org is very interesting
