I have to declare an interest here, as I am a BT pensioner, after 24 years as an Engineer.

What Hodge is saying here seems to be true...BT do have a monopoly.
But that monopoly comes from having many years where they and the predecessor, the GPO, installed every telephone line and cable in the country.

I have recently upgraded my BT connection to Infinity and now get about 36 mega pixies, which I am very pleased with. But if anybody can get to the bottom of whether BT is abusing its monopoly, it will be Hodge and her committee. She is a positive rottweiler !
MrAsk is a BT pensioner installed GPO cables all over West Yorks. They do have the monopoly and should come clean, it is costly enough getting broadband through BT, hope Ms Hodge sorts them out.
