My new front wipers are driving me nuts because they 're making the most dreadful scraunchy noises and I gather that vinegar usually cures this. Is it o.k. to put some in the windscreen water bottle and, if so, at what ratio?

try wiping the blades and the windscreen with neat washer bottle fluid first and wipe the windscreen with a cloth soaked in vinegar
Vinager will not do any harm but first try wiping the blades with methalated spirts
Vinegar on the rubbers.

Many thanks, everyone. I'm off to try it right now.
New blades shouldn't make any noise, even on a dry windscreen. Have they been correctly fitted?
