Corsa air con smell

Has any one solved the air con problem corsa's have 2004 1400 auto.I have had the smell as soon as it starts.It goes off fairly quickley but each time i start it stinks again.I have had the clean up service but it comes back.The pollen and air filter has been changed.I'm about to change my car but much as I like everything else about the car I am at the end of my tether!!!!Aggrr.

Give us a clue..there are several kinds of stink.

Its an amonia chemical smell.

Ammonia smell suggests that the Pollen Filter has been saturated for some time. Has your car been in an extreme wet situation since the Pollen Filter was last replaced?
Is this a trustworthy garage?

Hi Friends,Today was mot day and it passed.Nothing to do with air con.Whilst waiting I noticed on the reception desk a can of FORTE AIR CONDITIONING STERILISER AND DEODORISER.i HAD USED SOMETHING SIMILAR A FEW YRS BEFORE BUT i FOUND IT WASN'T MUCH LONG TERM USE,The one on the counter was officially for trade only but I purchased one.On checking the instructions on the web i read the instructions and realised i may not have carried out these instructions exactly on my previous attempts,so i did the job today and hope this time it works.It looks very promising.Cost of tin aerosol was £24 but cheaper than garage doing it.Hope this helps you Corsa drivers who suffer the smells.I know I am not the only one.

We had this with Honda CRV. Before you switch engine off run heater on full on hottest heat for last 10 minutes of journey. Gets warm in car but solved the problem for us if it is the same cause.
