2004 Nissan Micra airbag light

The passenger airbag light is on permanently ( not flashing). I heard there is a sequence with the ignition key to reset. Anyone know anything please.

my wife had the same problem with her Nisssan Almera but this procedure fixed it, so its worth a try........Turn Ignition on till airbag warning lamp goes out (approx 7 seconds) Immediately after airbag warning lamp goes out, turn ignition off for 3 seconds ie 0-1-2-3 or 1-2-3-4 (either way its 3 seconds) then turn ignition back on, Do this this 3 times, after carrying out the above, turn the ignition on for 1 second and immediately turn ignition off, then back on again and start car, this resets the airbag memory. Make sure the under seat connectors are ok.
Hope this helps.

Thanks but the the airbag light does not go out at all so I am unable to start the sequence.
the wife had the problem a couple of times and the only other thing I can think of is that the connections for the airbags are under the seats on the wife's car and can work loose...it was a wire with a little blue plug on it........we unplugged it then plugged it back in and it cured the fault........so sorry I can't be any more helpful.

Thanks marden40. Resetting sequence worked first time. You are a star.
