Hi there, i've got a W reg A4 1.9 TDi. I've notced that when it rains i get some water gathering in the footwell of the passenger side front seat. This seems to be coming from somewhere behind the glove box but not exactly sure how it's getting through. Has anybody had similar problems or know how to fix it?

It could be coming from several locations including the floor, wheel arch, windscreen, bulkhead etc.  First lift the bonnet and see if you can see any loose bulkhead grommets or any evidence of water leaking into the cabin.  Next is to remove the carpet (just pull it back) and then lay down on your back (armed with torch!) and get a friend to hose water around that side of the car until you spot the leak!  It's a pain but that's the only way you're going to find it!  Good luck!

If the car's had a new windscreen, that can sometimes cause it, another possible cause could be the door seals....
