Was Obi Wan Kenobe also known as Obi Wan Ben Kenobi or am I imagining it???

You didn't imagine it. The character's real name was Obi Wan Kenobe, a Jedi knight. While he had to hide Luke Sywalker, son of Anakin Skywalker (who became Darth Vader) and oversee Luke's upbringing by farmers, Obi Wan adopted the name of 'Ben'. Nobody knew his real identity during those years, and locals thought of old Ben as a crazy old hermit.

yeah in the first or fourth movie 'Star Wars, A New Hope' obi wan kenobe does say to luke skywalker that he's name has been o ben kenobe and then explains why he's been called that. recall obi wan saying to luke ' ummm obi wan kenobe, i haven't heard that name in years'.
