Sorry for not being in the correct Topic thread, but I might get more response in this one.

Oh no, I cannot believe it!!!
I'm on my PC in my L-shaped lounge, and my mum is watching some drama on ITV.
But,I could hear Crimbo adverts already!!! I don't feel like Christmas at all yet.
In fact, I'm really not in a Christmassy mood at the moment.
Does anyone think it's a bit early for Crimbo adverts??
What do you lot think?
Or maybe I'm a bit of a sourpuss! :)

I agree, We should start thinking about Christmas on the 24th of December and not before....and only if we believe in it

Thank you for your comment mazie!!
Although Christmas Eve is rather short notice to do all the Crimbo shopping.
I think I would do most of it a week before perhaps.
I agree it makes me mad to see them putting out the Christmas cards for sale already.
M&S have the usual choccy and biscuits displays out already. We haven't had Bonfire night yet.
good point mazie, its not just a public holiday, it is a celebration. imo
I think I may give Christmas a miss this year and buy all my presents next month and give them on the 25 of November. Make a nice meal and say there you go, it's all done and dusted
Maybe if we ignore it/them it/them will go away and leave us in peace.

The 'park' advert for xmas 2011!!!! No I haven't seen that yet.
That's ridiculous.......2011 indeed.
Geez, we'll be watching Easter Egg adverts next I bet!!
I'm agreeing with anneasquith,and I don't mind Christmas.
But,as I work in a wholesaler, we don't get much time off! :( :(

Heh,heh, I have the same thoughts as CailinDeas!!
I agree it's too early especially as - wet blanket coming - there are thousands of people who are particularly unhappy over the Xmas period
Why do atheists celebrate Christmas?
Question Author
I guess they just want to keep with the Crimbo tradition craft!!
I hear people up the school saying all there shopping is done/nearly done etc and when I say 'oh, I don't start until the second week of December' they nearly fall over in shock.
I don't think they do craft..they just eat turkey and cake
and watch the queen on tv. !

We will be slightly unhappy Prudie,as we will be celebrating Christmas for a third year without my dad.He died in October 2007 from prostate cancer and we still miss him dearly.
But,I'm sure that he wouldn't want us to be too sad on Christmas Day.
He was a wonderful dad who always looked on the bright side of life, and my mum misses him terribly, more than myself even.
No you're not being a sourpuss!.............imho, it's far too early!............takes the shine off the festive season!...................
