Lastnight me and my mate had gone round another mates who's neighbour has moved out of her council house and left cr@p all over the front garden. Tv's, tables, chairs, rugs...... Anyway in middle of it all was quite a groovy little girls bike with glitter all over it, pink, purple and new, my mate said are they really leaving that there and my other mate said yes they've just left everything and gone. So I said 'take it' no one else was gonna have it so I took it and gave it to my pregnant mate for if she has a girl. Now this morning my mate has text saying she feels really bad. Would you?

No worse than taking stuff out of a skip. Sounds like she was using the front garden as a skip.
it would either your mates little girl to have it forgetme, or some low life would smash it up just for the hell of it,,x
Question Author
or blokes clearing up garden would have it. How could they leave it there though surely they had just got it for their little girl

I was tempted to ride it home its such a lovely bike. I could just imagine their little girl picking it out so why would they leave it, g1ts!

I have never done a wheelie
they sound like scum so maybe the little girl has been taken off them
Vibra is right. They left it there so why shouldn't someone else enjoy it. You didn't take it for financial gain or to get something out of it. You found it a new home where it will be appreciated.
Don't think you should feel bad - what do they expect to happen when people leave things lying around? If it wasn't picked up by you to go to a good home, someone else would have had it away or vandalised it.
well if they ever return they will probably ask your friend if she knows where it went, and then she can decide whether to get the bike back.

But for now dont worry about it

Keep it .If a mp had been going by he /she would have "claimed "it .
Question Author
they wont be returning theyve scarpered.
family near me did the same left all sorts of decent gear the lot was collected by the council and taken to the recycling yard.
If the yard men did not keep the bikes they go for scrap metal, the wood for pulp etc
