The twins were referred to as 'Matthew' and 'Gregory' in the pilot episode, which are the names of Ray Romano's twins in real-life. After the pilot they were changed to Geoffrey and Michael.
Thanks squidgster..... thought I was going mad - didn't realise I was watching the pilot!!
And yes Boo - I love ELR. I tend to discover these series years after everyone else. So hence last years "must watch"s were :
Picket Fences (6am Hallmark)
Scrubs (E4 and Paramount)
ELR (Paramount)
since the hols I am now into
Ally McBeal
House (love that programme - tho its getting predictable in its format now)
Law and Order - Special Victims Unit
QI (Dave)
Midsomer Murders (3pm MMC1/ITV??) (tho I am now back at work and missing it terribly)
King of Queens - yes OK but not a "Must Watch" (where even if you have seen the episode b4 you still watch it) and I have tried with everyone hates Chris - but his voice puts me off... will persevere.
Frasier used to be a Must Watch
Only Fools is still defo a MW - even tho we have all the episodes on disc/tape - told you I was sad!!
Oh my God - forgot about V of Dibley. Again never watched it when it first aired but there are some classic moments in those episodes. Especially the jokes at the end, good old Alice...
OF&H - definately tops.... Del falling through the bar, Batman and Robin, Del fainting at the auction - then Rodders.... ANYTHING that trigger said or did (broom, Dave.. etc etc).
Madylin Sweeten who plays the daughter Aly is also the real life sister of the twins Sawyer and Sullivan who play Geofrey and Michael.
Peter Boyle who plays Ray's dad is the only adult memeber of Ray's family who did not win a programme award of any kind for his performance
I hit my submit button to quick
I would also like to throw "Married with Children" and my all time favorite "Soap" into the discussion. The episodes where Bert thinks he is invisible are far funnier than the alien ones
