I never missed an episode and like you I thought the ending was left open two ways to look at this.Could be that they will do another one in the future or they left it up to the viewer what the outcome would be.I think the gent who went to the loo was an indication that it was the end of the family he might well have come out and gunned them down? who knows.
Or he could have been a fed, or maybe the chicken was bit off that night, or it could have been his daughter coming through the door.
I think Tonys' impending trial has got too much going for it in order for him to get whacked.
I just felt cheated the prceding episode was gripping drama, but that felt a bit like after the Lord Mayors' Parade.
If they were going to end it, then end it, at least give it an ending! Kill him, let him reign supreme in Jersey or arrest him.
Me too! I'd like to see where they are going with that spooky cat, made me chuckle when it sat on the pavement staring at Paulie.
It's too good a show to leave like that, it's not even a knife edge.
It was what it was, and I thought it a good ending. BUT - remember the conversation he had in the boat with Bobby? The (now infamous) line "you probably don't even hear it when it happens, right?"
I agree that was a really good bit. But to be fair Phil Leotardo was a proper gangster, ruthless, obnoxious and psychotic. He was one of the stars of the show, think about it, Paulie was funny amongst his own people but when he was on the building site he'd speak to workmen like they were Sh**e getting them to clean his car. Top show I miss it already.
I was'nt too fussed on Bobby, he was a bit too nice for a mobster (although I thought it was funny when he shot that rapper in the arse) I was glad when Chrissy went, he was an ungrateful scumbag.
