I saw someone wearing these this morning. I had to stop and look because I remember when I would have done anything to have owned a pair when I was about 12 or 13. I never did though. I remember Babs from Pans People and the girls from ABBA wearing them. I wonder if they will come back in fashion, albeit briefly. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/White-Retro-Knee-High-Boots-Sixties-Look-White-Patent-or-White-Matt-Boots-/151370283290

I had white AND black..bees knees I was !
Looking at those pictures they look like white wellingtons now. I remember having a pair of white snakeskin (probably fake) boots back in the 60's.
Time for Specsavers methinks. I misread Boots
I had the crinkle patent stretch ones you pulled up (no zip) in red and black.

Great because they fitted my slim calves.
pearl white lipstick from Boots Minors range... blue cream eyeshadow ....dogtooth check mini skirt...skinny rib sweater.. big dangly earrings...them were the days
Oooh I want them, I luv boots, my nickname at work is Boots :-)

I had one of those chain belts that hung down at the front. And a shaggy perm (circa 1978)
I still have 3 fabulous chain belts.
chain belts..love beads...leather thongs for wrists..
I got my bottom length straight hair cut into a shaggy perm too about 78, the first perm of many to come. My outrageous boots were more 70s, huge platforms in bright yellow.

I don't know what it was about white shoes/boots but they always appealed. Likewise heels or wedges/platforms. Somehow, high heels were something to aspire to
My worst experience with boots in the 60s was when I worked in a snazzy shoe shop next door to a fabulous clothes shop.
The clothes shop was having a fashion show...we provided the footwear and I was asked to be a model....I did look very 60s.
Backstage in bra and knickers I was given a maxi coat and top of thigh length patent boots to model...that was fine and I strutted my stuff until the lady with the microphone said....
Gness will now remove her coat to show you how high these fantastic boots are...... :-(

Never had the white boots but lots of knee length black ones...x

I remember I persuaded my mum to let me have some platforms from Stead and Simpson. I don't know I managed to do that as my parents were quite conservative. It was in the summer of 1976. I was waiting at the bus stop with my Mum one day in the hot weather when I was wearing them and I passed out and cracked my head on the pavement. I had to go to hospital overnight with concussion. I`m sure I fell further due to the platforms.
Who remembers the patent sock things you wore with shoes to make them look like boots. They came in black, white, or red.
Also remember having a pair of over the knee blue suede boots. The zip on one of them kept catching and laddering my tights on the other leg.

Over the knee boots have been very trendy for the last couple of years
I had a pair of black suede over the knees ones which I wore with a white mohair polo neck mini dress, used to get white fluff all over the boots.
And a pair of black patent lace up boots, and a pair of those white ones mamy mentioned which collapsed when you took them off.
They did come back in fashion recently. But only for a week or two. I saw a few fashion spreads featuring them, but they'll be way gone by now.

Mohair, yes. I remember cheesecloth. I had cheesecloth blouse that tied at the front (circa 1975)
;-)
