Just the start. Watch your back with all the migrants flooding Europe from Africa and the usual suspects.

Describe 'flooding'.
I think it is when a sponge cannot take on more water!
There will be a limited number of lunatics willing to die in order to terrorise their fellow human beings. Maybe this latest atrocity will concentrate minds on how to eradicate the cause of their creation. And hopefully reconsider the existing rules that allow such folk to spread easily across Europe.
France is now closing it's borders. Stable doors/horses/bolting etc all come to mind.
It is unlikely the threat to us comes from Africans. The attacks in France will not be by migrants, they will be by their ex-colonical muslims.
It is inevitable that an attack on the UK homeland will be attempted. The culprits will be radicalised British born muslims or recent converts to Islam.
Migrants are a burden on our resouses and infrastructure. Theoretically they could pose a terrorist threat, but a small one compared to those already here.
Old_Geezer,
I expect when we know who has carried out this attack, they will not be migrants, they will have been in France for decades, possibly all their lives. The border issue is a red herring in this instance.
Janbee,
I assume closing the borders was to prevent people implicated in the plot from escaping the country. They are keeping people in, not keeping people out.
Diversity is a good thing. Respect cultural values different from our own. Don't demonize and marginalise vulnerable immigrants. Have I got the narrative correct?
vetuste ennemi

No, you're just trolling.
The narrative is that migration of Africans and homegrown terrorism are two different things.
Gromit, vetuste_ennemi isn't trolling. The wonderful 'diversity' he speaks of is precisely what we're told we're all supposed to joyfully embrace. You have no idea who these people are or where they are from.
"Celebrating Diversity". The motto of many a run-down institution. What's to celebrate?
naomi24,
The movements of vast numbers of refugees from war in the middle east and Africa to Europe has caused a great problem. Something needs to be done with them, and the Government have agreed to take a small number. Somehow we have to balance our humanitarian efforts with our need for national security. I think we all agree that we are accepting these people reluctantly. No one is saying we should joyfully embrace them, but we should neither totally reject them.
Gromit, ^ that has no bearing on my post.
I remember trying to read the Decline & fall of the Roman empire, a massive work dealing with population movements coming into an European state which was past its peak.

I might dig it out again.
Naomi,
From the Huguenots, to the Jews, to the Irish, most of the immigrants that have come here, we know very little about them on their arrival. We have had to trust them but be vigilant, and so will will with these. The Government have accepted them, so take it up with them if they scare you.
It was a broader and more interesting work than that. Read chapter 17(?), on the conversion of Constantine.
Gromit, my post didn’t relate specifically to the latest influx into Europe. Firstly, as VE rightly implied, we are expected to embrace diversity with open arms, – anyone who doesn’t is a racist, a bigot, and so on. Secondly, you tell us who these terrorist are not, but I repeat, you don’t know who they are or where they come from. These are not Huguenots, they are not Jews, and they are not Irish – they are Islamists. You trust them if you like, but don’t expect everyone else to. They scare the hell out of me.
Gromit won't get it, Naomi.
I know.
We were just watching the news (in SW France) this morning when gunfire erupted in the the streets around our house and towards the village centre terrifying Mrs jom. Having turned all the house lights out we peered cautiously outside. I noticed the shots were often coming in pairs which suggested double barrelled shotguns ....then I realised it is the annual pigeon shoot. Would have been a good idea to postpone it or even notify the villagers that it was going to happen. Rural France eh?
