From the moment a small package arrives in the Customs center how long does it take for them to release it. Do they hold it for a day or two or could it be held up for a week? It takes long enough for a packet to come through the post but another delay at the Customs is painful. More red tape!

depends how easy it is to clear, eg there are no problems with the paperwork.

Some things I've recently ordered from Amazon have come from China and there seems to be some delay with them.
