I wonder how long it will be before Coronation Street is taken from our screens, due to the lack of actors?

Very far fetched - seems a hotel employee saw two Corrie stars in bed with two young girls 5 years ago but didn't report it at the time and the girls haven't reported it either.
what does that mean - there's plenty of actors for CS and there's one come back. He was deemed innocent, you know.
Must say, it's all a bit vague.
Stars? mediocre actore more like..
‘He didn't go to the police at the time because he's not one for fuss. He also moved in showbiz circles and was worried about losing work.'

He sounds lke a roaster on the make.

why get into blackmail when you can sell the story to a rag.
someone suddenly lacking cash and thought they could make a few bob?
The alledged incident took place in 2008.

// Officers are now expected to speak to hotel staff and look through CCTV footage //

Good luck with that.

I fear this might be a non story.
\\\\\who told officers that he saw two actors from the ITV1 soap in a bed at 7am with two girls aged between ten and 12.\\\

So where were the parents?........

A non story for me.

Michael Lavell wasn't proven innocent. He was found not guilty, there is a difference.

Another 'non-story' eh, good job the police don't dismiss such reports as just that.

/// 'Greater Manchester Police has a duty to investigate all reports that are made to police and enquiries into this complaint are ongoing but are still at a very early stage.' ///

Who knows? from little acorns great oaks can grow.

AOG, are you rubbing your hands with glee at the prospect? You seem to revel in these things.

All police have a duty to investigate these things - it is telling the spokesman didn't say the police were looking in to a 'very serious' matter or 'taking it very seriously' or some such.

How has this got in to the news already? I'll tell you - the 'witness' sold his story to the press.
Ummm, don't forget - innocent UNTIL proven guilty. He wasn't found guilty and there is no mechanism in English courts for an innocent verdict.
I know. I was just responding to AOG saying he 'proven innocent'
Note the word 'claimed'.

ummmm

/// Michael Lavell wasn't proven innocent. He was found not guilty, there is a difference. ///

"Innocent until proven guilty" therefore if a person is proven not guilty they have been proven innocent.
I thought michael la vell was cleared of all charges.
but this is what newspapers and especially the mail do, there is no suggestion michael le vell is one of the corrie actors named by this person yet the paper includes all his recent case details in with the article, which is going to give people the impression there is a link. it's just not right, but then it's a newspaper with a so far none story.
well i hope the person who sold the story is telling the truth as the manchester police are very busy
