Can I recommend a cracking good wildlife program please ?

I have just watched "Kangaroo Dundee" on BBC 2 this afternoon. Its all about a chap in Australia who has set up a rescue station for young orphaned kangaroos. There are two parts but I only watched part 2 today. Its the most charming program I have seen in ages. This chap is a typical strapping 6 footer Australian, but he cares for these tiny baby kangaroos like a mother, hand-rearing them with bottles and slipping them into pillow cases, just like they're mothers pouches. He even takes them to the supermarket, to get the formula milk that they need. Now, that is something I have yet to see in Tesco !

It will be on the iplayer for a few days I expect. Do yourself a favor and give it a go !

It's brilliant, mikey - we watched 2 last night, but I only watched 1 on i-player after it was recommended on AB last week. A great programme.
Saw it last night. It was really good.

You know, there is so much tedious drivel on the telly these days. All these bloody programs about food and cooking are getting me down ( they are on EVERY night of the week ! )

Gervais is adding to his already stuffed bank account with Derek. Gill had it right today in the Sunday Times...Derek last year was a turd...this time its an iced turd.

But now and then, your see something like this kangaroo program and its worth turning the telly on again.

Can I also recommend the series currently on BBC 2 on Saturday evenings ....The Lost land of the Volcano" Anything that makes Steve Backshall take his shirt off has got to be worth watching.

Oh sorry, I may be thinking out aloud again !
I have only caught glimpses of the new show Britains Brightest. It looks quite good and the questions where clever people are involved. (Unlike say In It to Win It when they seem not to know basic General Knowledge)
As this show is on on a Saturday night it probably won't last long because it will make way for another celebrity reality show/cooking/DIY show.
More program like the Kangaroo Dundee and such are lovely. Just watching Earth Extraordinary Journey. Far more interesting than soaps or strictly or Ice Dancing
It was fabulous, after watching last week's, couldn't wait for part two.

A remarkable man. I'd be interested to know how he funds the sanctuary.
Very enjoyable viewing,
I watched it too, what a brilliant programme - a gem in the middle of a lot of rubbish on tv lately.
And I saw the lost volcano programme too- also superb (anything with Gordon Buchanan in is worth watching) :D
Did anyone see War Horse? Another fascinating programme. Very sad though.
I loved the programme, wish we had more like this! He's a lovely guy and he's doing a magnificent job with these joeys, but it's such a shame that he's on his own. I think he would make a lovely dad if he could find a lady willing to live in the outback!
I'm offering................... although I am somewhat too old for him and would worry about the spiders. He is truly scrumptious.
Agree Lottie (lol).

I'd love him to find a nice girl to marry. I couldn't live the life, but I agree with him - I think he'd make a great dad!
Naomi, thanks very much for that link.

I've tried to bookmark that website, but since getting my new computer, I've been unable to figure out how to do it. I do so miss my old computer.
Yes agree, a smashing programme. I've only seen one episode, don't know which one, but I'll certainly make it my business to watch the other one.
