Brock paid a visit last night and dug no fewer than 13 bloody holes in the front lawn. Looked a real mess this morning. Never mind - nature is wonderful ;)

Hi janine. The more I looked the more holes I saw. Right in front of the picture window. There is a toad in the back garden today - not at all keen on them. Moved it to the other end of the garden and carried on working. Just went out to view the day's labours and the damn toad hopped over my foot and returned to the spot whence I found it. At least it has been a beautiful day - not a cloud in the sky.
don't mind toads. tell him he can come and live with me.gaen is getting difficult to walk round at the moment between the badgers and the bloody fornicating rabbits making holes everywhere. nature is wonderful but could it just go and visit somewhere else for a bit. also farm dogs seem to think front garden is a latrine.
saw young fox coming back from the pub last week, that is me not the fox from the inn!
Owls, pheasants, rooks, badgers, moles, rabbits, got the lot - even a puma spotted last year (Aug 3 and reported to Newquay zoo - one in the area apparently and big woods nearby to happily live in all year around).
