Last ever episodes

Tonight Sky are showing the final episode of House - I intend watching it even though I haven't been a devoted follower of the programme (it's ok but a bit too samey for my taste).

That got me wondering whether there are any other final episodes of TV shows that people particularly remember - M*A*S*H and Frasier would be mine.

We have watched every single episode - recording when we are on holiday. I just love Hugh Laurie and he is great as House. I read where he said it was difficult not to walk with a limp when not on the show. We shall miss him.

Friends I remember very well, also NYPD Blue, oh yeah, Touch Of Frost was very good. It's a shame when you're favourites disappear.

Wouldn't it be a wonderful idea for a programme maker to show a series of final episodes that we could record & view at our leisure ? The prog could be called Top Finals.

Friends, definitely. So sad. I really wish they'd do a movie or something!

there are series when an end is planned - like Black Adder and Friends, and others where they simply stop making them - like Fawlty Towers.

Personally, I like what our American friends call 'closure' - the final scene of Black Adder IV not only being one of the finest endings to a series ever, but one of the finest moments on television, period.

I remember the last episode of M*A*S*H with joy because it was finally over...

I hope they repeat House on one of the Freeview channels. I was a regular watcher when it was on Channel 5 (?), but as I don't have Sky I lost out.
