What is going on with Doctors storylines recently? Are the scriptwriters on wacky baccy or something?

I thought today's was quite funny. I must admit no one seems to be doing
much doctoring!

I suppose it was mildly amusing but I'd rather they didn't change it into another sitcom. It doesn't have to all worthy doom and gloom but serious-ish drama would be nice to have back...

I wonder who's taking over as practice manager when Julia leaves next month.
I must admit she's never been one of my favourite characters. She could take
dopey Elaine with her as well! I love Heston though, I hope it all works out
ok for him!

I'm a great fan beckersjay but I too thought it a bit weird. Were Mandy and Freya just having a joke on Kevin or were they hypnotised too. Strange.

I thought the idea of Doctors was to cover medical problems, there seems very little of that lately. I turned on half way through today and thought it was absolute rubbish.
