Been watching some old syfy movies on YouTube and a lot seem to have a bright centre any ideas why and if it can be removers

I think this is to do with copyrights. I have tried also in vain to remove them.

I think the most plausible explanation is the one given by Robert Rex Edwards: "There is one other answer, they use to call it artistic reveal. The effect of an over sized light bulb in an 8mm projector. The machine calls for 25 watt filtered light not a 100 watt spot light."
