This was broadcast on B/H afternoon. Its slow radio ! 4 hours of nature sounds, plus bits of music interspersed. Its something that you leave on in the background, when you are doing something else.

Simply lovely !

I like that idea mikey. Very relaxing. I will have a longer look later.

Boaty....if you save it to your favourites, then you can come back to it whenever you like. I have it on now, but I will listening to the Today Programme from 06:30 on wards. There is 28 days left to listen according to the website !
I will do that mikey. Thanks.
Sounds a bit like a radio version of BBC4s canal boat trip a while ago. Gentle and relaxing to watch.

Its lovely Hoppy....its not just this chap nattering about what he sees, but there is an awful lot of gentle musiv involved as well.

I have walked this route many times over the years, but not for quite a while now...old ticker you know !

The scenery is stunning.
I'll give it a listen later Mikey. Thanks.
I only managed two minutes - sorry
Question Author
Well....I did try Hoppy !
It's like an extended Radio 4 tweet of the day, without the explanation.
Question Author
There was very much more than bird song to that program Hoppy....much.,much more !
Perhaps I didn't give it long enough.
Question Author
Hoppy....load the page up and save it to your favourites folder. Then come back to it, every now and then at random. Its not all tweety sounds !

There are some lovely musical interludes, and readings, plus the tweety bits !
Sorry Mikey, I did try again and got up to the ten minute mark, but it's not for me. There was some guy mumbling but as I couldn't see the beautiful scenery it just didn't work.
Question Author
At least you tried Hoppy, and for that I am glad !
Did you see the BBC4 canal trip a few months ago?

I think you would have enjoyed that. A camera on front of a canal boat doing 4mph. The only commentary was the occasional bit of text on the water surface ahead.
Question Author
Hoppy....yes, I saved it to me favourites but by the time I got around to watching it, it had expired !

By the way, there is a regular slot on Radio 3, at about 08:15, on Sunday mornings, of some nature sounds recorded by Chris Watson, interspersed with some appropriate music. Its only about 10 mins long and has become a favourite of mine these past few months.

I can't remember what the slot is called, but its part of the Sunday with Martin Handley program.
