Is it just me thinking that Rob is dishing out cups of tea to Helen laced with some kind of sedative ?He seems very keen to keep making sure she drinks them up. Would account for her exhaustion .

These true-life stories are very sad. Perhaps its a good idea that the Media make these into fiction, to encourage people to "come out"
I think you are right, mikey.
I've been away looking after the grandkids for just over a week and missed it! Only Radio 1 here...Anyone want to fill me in on what Rob's been up to this past week. Thank you xx
Mazie....he is continuing to be awfully horrid ! And he is getting worse !

Seriously, we should operate an embargo until after the Sunday morning omnibus.

By the way, why can't you get Radio 4 at your grandkids house ?
Even if you can't get R4 for some reason, you can get iplayer radio world wide, we have listened to the Archers in some odd places.
Thanks Mikey xx Because there are 3 of them and only 1 of me. They wont listen to radio4... Never mind home tomorrow :o)
Thanks Zebo. 3 PC but can never get on them. There's always The Archers Thread on AB :o)
There is hope! In the new Radio Times Kirsty is suspicious, and Tom is beginning to realise what Rob is trying to do in the shop. So, patience folks!
Mazie....lock them in the coal cellar from 19:02 til 19:15 every night...that should do the trick.

Failing that, lock yourself in the loo, with a small portable radio.

Maybe both at the same time !
Home tomorrow mickey, so can listen to my hearts content. Robs is totally robbing Helen of every shred of self confidence. I know women that this has happened to. Such a shame... Who do you reckon will "out" him?
I am not really that surprised abut Rob. I have met people like him before. In fact, I had a Manager like him, up until 2008. He made my life a misery and I had no option but to resign my job or risk mental illness myself
( actually, he was found out for what he was, and was sacked a year later ! )
He was a bully and became even worse as time went on. He was completely lacking in any empathy whatsoever.

But something that doesn't quite ring true in the Archers storyline is this...

Everybody, with the exception of Kirsty, seems to be completely taken in by him. Pat and more importantly, Peggy should have seen through him by now. There have been sharp words between Rob and Tony, and Rob and Tom but they haven't amounted to anything. Shula has also had a run-in with him and she is nobodies fool.

Now that Helen is unwell, Pat will want to visit her and Rob will try to put a spanner in the works about that. But if the scriptwriters allow it, then they will make the story even less believable.

There is also the unfinished business of the blocked culvert and the disappearing Polish worker ( whose name I have forgotten ! )

But its a good storyline and has succeeded in making Rob the most hated character in Ambridge for many a long year !
Rob ruddy Titchener !

My God...he's clever...I will give him that !
Ohh, what's he done now? Must go to iplayer, can't wait 'til Sunday!
He's certainly going for an easy target!
I'm afraid I'm getting a bit paranoid about Rob - I almost don't want to listen until this story has finished ( if it ever will be). The trouble is that it's compulsive listening. Fancy suggesting that about next week (trying not to spoil it for others) but not letting her have the obvious person. What he has suggested will wind her up terribly. It is sometimes difficult to realise it's only fiction, it's so well acted.
Just heard the omnibus edition - I am spitting feathers about Rob. Yes, he's clever, Mikey.

Shades of David Copperfield!
I'm also beginning to get angry, surely Kirsty, Tom and her parents are going to question why they can't speak to her about what's going on after this hospital stay. Helen must be questioning what he's up to.
...but isn't Rob's mother supposed to be arriving today? She's a bit of a mystery character! What effect will she have? Good or bad?
Apparently 'Helen will need a helping hand' according to the announcer after The Archers finished just now. Can't wait!
The thick plottens!
