Alan Carr & Melanie Sykes, Saturday evening Radio 2....

Love them.... What a great double act, they never stop laughing and neither do I.

Gems this week - "I'm a bit peckish, I could eat a bit of sheba..." (after a letter about eating catfood.)

"What is this town made of? Poo? I've got a shadow on me lungs from breathing it all in..." (on Andover, where there's been a lot of muckspreading going on....)

;-) Any more fans?

Hi Sallabananas,

Yes, I am a fan also. They are brill' and I can't stop laughing at them laugh. That Alan Carr is really funny. He can say one sentence and something really trivial and he has me creased.
Only thing is, is as it';s on on a Saturday evening I sometimes miss it, as we go out. Need to see if i can record the shows.

Me too, its very funny indeed and i think they make an excellent pair. Their laughing is very infectious and i try and time it so im in the kitchen making my evening meal.
I dislike them for the very reasons they are popular - nothing is that funny!!

I know a lot of people find their banter infectious, but honestly, if they were standing next to me in a pub chattng and laughing, I'd go home! (Actually, I'd try to entice Melanie Sykes into a hotel, but that's another story ....!!!)

It's just a case of a marmite show - and i appreciate i am in the minority, which is perfectly fine.

Yes pinklady - the BBC have finally realised that Jo Whiley trying to talk like a student qwhen she is in her forties with children is now getting beyond ajoke, so they have shifted her into an 'adult' station - and Radcliffe and Maconie get shunted over to Six Music to make space for her!!!

That is just wrong!
andy - I agree, I can't stand either of them, they are so unfunny!
