I am on all of those census returns, and guess what, i am still here, not been cloned, abducted by aliens or otherwise felt vulnerable in any way. Any confusion between filling in a census return and online fraud, government spies and a big brother scenario is plain daft. Can people just do what they are required to do or leave the country if they don't think they should be counted as part of our future?

Must admit, I don't see the big fuss about not filling it in. What's the problem in filling it in?
I agree dotty, I am grateful to past generations for being honest and making my geneology easier by filling out the census's properly.
"... or leave the country if they don't think they should be counted as part of our future?"

So if I don't think I should be counted, you're saying I should leave the country, did I get that right?

if anyone is not willing to be a part of the country's future plans then I am going to assume that they intend to emigrate and the future of this country has no interest for them, citizenship is quite important you know,
Where do you suggest I go?

the information is used locally as well as nationally, if a borough council has 5000 disabled children that in 10 years will need adult converted housing they can plan ahead. If a village has 100 children under 2, in 10 years they will need t provide high school teachers, classrooms, etc for those 100 children living in a rural location, how simple is it to understand the purpose? It's a statistical snapshot of a country .

I thought so dotty!...........have checked the 1911 one, and really not much help!......nevermind, I'll plough on!........thank you.........
I hate forms, i will not be filling one out.
// If a village has 100 children under 2, in 10 years they will need t provide high school teachers, classrooms, etc //

If most of the people with kids move out so they can get a larger house all them figures mean nothing.
