I understood that Julin Fellowes had written the book Downton Abbey & the the series was an adaptation but I have tried on Amazon to buy copy and they say no.
Is there a book out, does anyone know ?

No, I am almost certain that he created it specifically for TV, and wrote it with Maggie Smith in mind. Good news is, it is returning next year. rosy
