I have just watched the documentary of the 8/9 yr olds at their first year at a Prep Boarding School...these kids are our future Politicians make no mistake.... and yet, you have to ask yourself.
Would you send your child to these places to give him/her the ideal start?
or are they too young to be sent away?

My brother and I were both sent to approved schools. I suppose they were a bit like boarding school.
I would if it was local enough and I had the money. I would want to be able to see them more than just weekends...

I would too if I could have afforded it but I did feel for a little lad who was being educated here while his parents lived in Shanghai!
I couldn't do that...I'd want to be able to see them if they needed me...
I watched it straight after Waterloo Road so my first thoughts were thank heavens there are schools like that to keep a balance. My daughter did weekly board (against my wishes actually) but she was 13 and loved it. I found it heart wrenching every Sunday evening though.

I caught a snippet and asked my husband if it was a special school for children with learning disabilities, they seemed most odd
