he was in doctor who once. he played a doomed Nortumberland vicar Reverend Wainwright in the 7th series. It was called the curse of fenric.
I was never really a Corrie fan, TTFN. It was my mother who was addicted to it. It was almost the only ITV programme which she'd watch (along with the wrestling at Saturday teatime - do you remember Kent Walton?). She considered ITV to be far too 'common' and I was hardly ever allowed to watch anything on it when I was a child ;-(
Memory is fading now, but I don't think Ena or Minnie were there at the time. It was Len Fairclough who discovered that she'd snuffed it.
I remember Kent Walton Chris, and Big Shirley Crabtree, and Giant Haystacks - 4pm Saturdays!
Who needs memory when there's Youtube, Mike?

Hi Cupid04

I'd forgotten that Dr Who appearance. It rings the faintest of bells with me. There's more about NP's early years on his website:

Jackie Pallow, Mick McManus - never 'eard of 'em
Hi Boxtops

The real star of wrestling in those days was, in my opinion (and, more importantly, in my mother's opinion), Mick McManus
.. and the one with the hood, name escapes me, Never Knowingly Unmasked - Kendo Nagasaki?
Kendo Nagasaki isn't forgotten. He's got his own website!

Mick had the most wonderful widow's peak as I recall. Bert Royal was such a gentleman too. I always reckoned Kendo probably had a kind face - hence the face mask!
I remember Mick's hair, yes it looked painted on. Remember the one where the ref was squashed between the two big guys....?
Hey Chris that would make a good avatar! (PS I notice - after all the posts - that Ed's posted a "how to" short cut at the top of the page, at last!)
I'm not so sure about that kind face, TTFN ;-)

The stuff boy scouts are made of Chris! You should see some of my neighbours!!
Saturday afternoon - wasn't Grandstand the only thing that was on? I remember the horse racing and Eddie Waring - Rugby League?
An up-and-under/time for an early bath. It's a knockout too with David Vine. This thread is rambling now!
Thanks for the link. Just watched it. Took me back years.
I used to love watching that tag team, they were brothers, one was very good looking .
