Does anyone know the name of a programme that was on BBC 2, between 6 and 7 o clock around the era of 'DEF II' in the mid eighties. It was a comedy serial and involved a blond guy on a motorbike being persued by a gothic cruella de ville type woman and her henchman in a hearse, mostly around the desert, it was proper bo-nkers. It had what I think was 'guitar man' -an elvis style theme tune and it's doing my nut as to what it was called cos I loved it. Ring any bells? the above description is from vague memory so may be slightly inaccurate. ta very muchly!

Aghhh I remember this as well but I can't think for the life of me what it was called. It was an absolute hoot. Wasn't there a girl in it who may have been called Tina and he was saving her from someone (possibly the Cruella wifie you were on about). I'm sorry that's not much help but I hope someone remembers what it was called.

I think you were both out of your tiny minds in the 80s.  Haven't a clue what you are on about but your descriptions are hilarious!

I think it was on Channel 4
It was called Neat and Tidy and I loved it too.  The 2 main characters were Nick Neat and Tina Tidy and the Cruella character was played by Elke Sommer.  The theme tune was Guitarman and it was on Channel 4, can't really remember what it was about though other than the riding round the desert and avoiding getting caught. Oh and I really fancied Tina but that's probably more than you wanted to know.
P.S. According to imdb it was also known as Adventures Beyond Belief.  Check out www.imdb.com/title/tt0092512
