Damages BBC1

A new series of Damages is on BBC1 tonight. It is the 3rd series, I haven't watched this show but as it has some great ratings thought I would give it a try. Can I watch it afresh or is there a running theme!!

According to the IMDB episode list http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0914387/episodes the Glenn Close character Patty Hewes is still in series 3. (don't watch it myself)
