polar express tecnology could it open the way for bogey playing opposite john wayne?

Just saw Polar Express and was very interested in the likeness of the conductor to Tom Hanks..(I know that is what the animators were aiming for already!) but giving this technology another 10 years would it be possible to bring some of the now deceased film stars (in digitised format) back to star in movies ......something similar to "Dead men dont wear plaid" but in a totally digitized animation.......would there be a market there??????

There's actually a company that's been buying up the rights to use dead actors' likenesses in that way for several years now. They haven't actually done anything with the rights because the technology isn't good enough yet, but they'll likely be quids in before very long.
Haven't seen it, but apparently Laurence Olivier turned up in "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow"...
