Would anyone know the name of a film that ended with the lead man rushing on board an aircraft and singing 'You are my sunshine' to the female lead to stop her leaving him? Thanks.

Not 80's film but isn't it The Wedding Singer with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore ?
It's not The Wedding Singer.

No... Adam Sandler sings his own song 'I want to grow old with you.' It's not that.

Can't help you though Colesby... sorry!

Doesn't end with a man on a aitrplane, but the film "Parenthood" springs to mind (with Steve Martin / Rick Moranis,) when Rick Moranis sings it to his school teacher wife in the classroom in front of the whole class in a bid to woo her back.  Any help?

Actually, thinking about it, I think the song in "Parenthood" was 'Close to You', originally sang by The Carpenters.

Sorry, don't know!! xx :)

Thanks to everyone for their help.  It has been suggested that the film might be a Steve Martin film.???

The only other clue is that I am sure some of the action took place in a trailer park and the sky there was a surreal pinky colour.
