No????? Really ummm? What apt timing...
RIP Floydy Boy.
Are you sure ummm... can't find anything on the news pages. It was his documentary style interview last night with Keith Allen on channel 4 which I commented on this morning in media & tv.

Just watched it on BBC. I think it's just been announced.

Thanks Rollo
Oh my lord thats shocking!!

Are being sarcy 4get??? :-)

I think he's had a heart attack before.
That's sad - and what bizarre timing. Last night's documentary was interesting to say the least - for a man of 65, he looked at least a decade or more older - all that drinking, smoking and good living certainly took its toll in recent years. I know he was recently diagnosed with bowel cancer.
I liked him enormously (though flinched at his liberal use of the 'C' word last night...!).
RIP Keith. Bottoms Up.
Truly weird, I watched the interview last night and he looked like a very old broken man. I am sure he would have loved the timing. For all his clear faults he loved life and did not want to blame anyone else for his fate.

I am sure if you ate in his restaurants in Bristol in the 1970s it would have been a hoot.

A gem from the rather boring BBC TV world of the 1980s.
sarcy?? Huh?

Oh my lord thats shocking.

Not very shocking for a man who drank too much, smoked too much and lived life to excess. So I thought you might be being sarcy...

:-)
No was probably expected but I meant shocking after him being on tv last night
Question Author
I didn't know he was on TV last night. What channel was it on?
Channel 4 ummm... a very interesting interview to say the least - Keith Allen was the interviewer - so a bit like the blind leading the blind.... actually it was very entertaining, but parts of it made quite uncomfortable viewing. he really had gone downhill. Still - he certainly lived a good life while he could, so all in all, not such sad news as that of the young boxer who hung himself yesterday ;-(
Question Author
I'll see if I can watch it on catch up..
Question Author
Yep it's on there....
Strange documentary

Especially strange seemed Keith Allen's question "Why do you drink so much"

Sat there thinking "Because he's an alcoholic you idiot"
Hi ummmm xx

oh my gawd..........what's going on!

I quite liked him as eccentric and off the wall!
Patrick Swayze was a recovering alcoholic
