recording freeview

can anyone tell me - can you record (PDC) freeview programmes on to a VCR?

I doubt it. I won't have a freeview tuner to recognise the channels to PDC.
You can record to VHS manually though.

TV with built in freeview, or a digibox?
Whichever way, you will need to set the VCR to record the channel freeview is displayed on. It will be EXT1, EXT2 or an AV channel.
Set the VCR to record the correct one, set the time and date.
Make sure your digibox is switched on to the correct Freeview channel for the duration of the recording.
