Shan't.
Specially as you won't say whose civil war, where and when.
Hi pinkkiss3s

It would appear that there has been more than one civil war!! Now that was new to me too. I would suggest that you try to find out which one it is and rephrase the question hoping your not discovered OR try google it - in the hope that the other sites don't talk back. Good luck.

I liked Billy Bragg's civil war. V good
Razzle there's been a fair few civil wars some more famous than others, the Spanish, American and English for example, the chances are it's either the American or English one.
Hi TCL Sorry not very clear there. I know there have been lots and lots of civil wars nearly as many as famines but not quite. I did think though that there had been only one English civil war - perhaps it just lasted a long time and it seems like more. No!!!!!
Razzle, how do you know which country the question refers to?
Plus, are the euphemistcailly-named 'troubles' in northern Ireland not cilvil war?
The Hanoverian suppression of Scotland?
which would bring our British total to what now?
And of course, the 'wars of the roses' seemed to have folk at each others throats - quite literally if you look at the archaeological evidence for the battle of Towton

Then there was Matilda vs Stephen
oh and Tostig vs Godwin
I think because TCL suggested that it would probably be Anerican or English and I was under the impression that America had 'just the one'. Re: Ireland and the 'troubles' - a working title because it's difficult to name. How does one decide if a particular war is a continuance or indeed 'new'. Is it the issue, the terraine, the protagonists, damage, weapons , length of non-violence between? Who gets to decide, the population, historians, politicians? I really can't support war or armed struggle and history is not my forte. I just visted the site to get a lil bit of education - and I did thank you.
