Just seen the latest episode (had a busy Easter weekend) and SHOCK! HORROR! Nick Cutter has been killed off!
Douglas Henshall was one of the main reasons for watching. But - was it him or was it the clone who was beginning to show a bit of emotion, but he was blown up - or was he? or is it just desperate wishful thinking on my part?

The bad news is yes quizzywig he has gone to meet his maker. DCI Danny Quinn will be heading the team in the next series. The good news is the delicious Douglas Henshall will be appearing in a new 5 part drama called Collision as DC John Tolin very soon.

Thanks moonshadow, I will certainly keep an eye open for the dishy Douglas but sadly DCI Quinn is not so appealing.
1) Way to spoiler those like me who hadn't seen the ep before coming upon your question in AB.

2) Helen's clone tech leaves the way open for any "dead" characters to come back should the actor/production team want to.

3) It was definitely Cutter who Helen shot at (I was keeping an eye on the jacket), but not definitely Cutter who we saw die (as we didn't see him get shot). It would seem unlikely that the clone got so talkative, though no more unlikely that a lot of the shenanigans in Primeval.

Very sorry LeMarchand - was so shocked at Primeval just had to ask ABers if they thought Cutter might return. Apologies to all.
