Well before the arguments start, I'd say that the question was a fair one, with no ulterior motive behind it.
Mistresses gain very little, except for sharing the man, but it's the wife who usually keep his name - AND him.

it woulnt be my cup of tea as in the long term you would still be the other woman and have to operate in a low key way. Mind you maybe some prefer this as no strings attached and they still have their own time. It is too complicated in my view
