Last week was the last one but according to the TV guide it has been quite popular so with any luck they'll make another series.

It has been a hit for ITV and a second season has been comissioned.

If you get Sky Movies, or fancy spending around 15 to get the DVDs from Australia, you might want to check out the 2 TV movies. They are a bit different to the series - although the Doc is still played by Martin Clunes, he has a different name, back story and attitude. Both are very funny though.

"Saving Grace" is where the character originated and is worth a rent (or you can pick it up for around 7 on DVD). Doc Martin is a very minor character in it, but it's a very funny film. Be warned that "Saving Grace" concerns a widow growing cannabis to pay off her debts, and that the Doc is a partaker in the film and the first TV movie, so it might not be something you consider suitable. (That said, Mme LeMarchand - who has a very strict attitude to such things - enjoyed all the films).
