just saw this on video and was so dissapointe /angry....what were they trying to do I found it racist and offensive, I think i laughed twice during the whole thing and cringed at the rest. Did anyone else find themselves cringing at it?

I didn't cringe at it but it was pretty awful. Definatly a case of all the jokes were in the trailer but even they weren't funny in the actual film. Totally predictable, never been a fan of Steve Martin and this film did nothing to improve my opinion.
I didn't find it racist, I found it slapstick funny. I mean I wasn't wetting myself, but looking at the trailer what did you expect? And the granny gets stoned at the end - is that ageist? WoWo is right, the funny bits were in the trailer, but I think branding racist is a bit far fetched and incredibly unfair.
It was apretty awful film but i don't think racist. You kinda gotta think it'* *** or miss with steve martin

I am thinking that all the scary guys n gals with guns were black and all the white guys and gals were upright citizens ...stereotyping black bad and dangerous white good and wholesome
