Where was the TV series filmed? I thought it might be Port Quin but I am not too sure.

It's filmed in the beautiful Port Isaac, where the locals are not all gormless idiots as they are portrayed!
It's also swarming with more tourists than locals - the film crew must have had a fun job keeping them all out of shot when they filmed the harbour. More details here: http://www.itv.com/page.asp?partid=1969

Port Isaac is a very beautiful place and since my move to Cornwall, it is only about one hour's drive away. As someone else said, the people are not in the least thick, but they are all very nice.

There is a wonderful fish and chip shop there and choccy shop which sells wonderful fudge and chocolate creams - I hadn't better mention any names though.

The series of Doc Martin is one of my all time greats and it is a shame the current series has finished. None of the really good ones are on for long - still, it is something to look forward to. Does anyone know when the next series will be shown?

Kind regard to all who read this.

Jo - Bunnyhugs! Can you please help me? I've just finished watching a recorded last episode of Doc Martin from the last series. Doc and Louisa are standing on the steps outside the surgery and she tells him she loves him too... he doesn't remember their drunken conversation of the previous evening .... then my recording finished! Aaagh, what happened? Do you know the end of the story and will there be any more this year? btw I've been to Port Isaac, it's beautiful.
