Need to know when ghostbusters was first aired on uk tv

I know it was around xmas or new year time back in the 80s but cant seem to be able to find out anywhere.Can you help?
if you could tell me the year,channel and day that would be great.Or is there anywhere that would have archive tv listing for the 80s.

All i get is listings for the Living series

However, I think the film was actually 2 words; Ghost Busters so you might try searching that :)

The earliest air date I know of (scrawled in an old film book of mine) is -

7.30 - 9.30 ITV Saturday 26th December 1987

The film was released in the UK on Dec 7th 1984 and I'm sure that back then films had to be in the cinema for around 5years before they were shown on TV, so I'm guessing Dec 1989!

And although called Ghostbusters in the UK it was Ghost Busters in the US...so you're both right! :o)
