Bonekickers, latest episode.. confusion
Can anyone help here. It seems the "slaves" on the ship where Monsoons, however elsewhere in the story they say the bones where from White men. Not sure how that happenned and what's all the business about the hands chopped off in the box, can someone who paid a bit more attention than me summarise, thanks!

Oban and his Maroons were being shipped out of the US because those in power didn't want to share with a *shock* black people. They took control of the ship, chopping the hands off the (white) crew (I think there was some symbolism in this, but can't quite remember it) using Oban's sword (which appears to be what Peugeot Woman is looking for and may have mystical powers - I'm thinking Excalibur) and lived out their end days on the island.
Powerful Americans then tried to wipe them from the history books.

Crikey, what next? The oppression of women during Roman Occupation? I bet those nasty hateful ancient Britons end up siding with the beastly brutish romans against the poor women of the Iceni.

I notice they still had Ken Livingstone as Mayor !

I think one of the ideas behind the series is that the relevance of history is that it ipacts on the present day. What's that quote about if you don't learn from the mistakes of the past you are doomed to repeat them.

Or as those great philosophers ABBA wrote
" That History book on the shelf,
Is always repeating itself "
...sorry, was dragged to see Mamma Mia at the weekend...

The episode must have been filmed a while back - who would have thought that people would be so disillusioned with Labour that they would vote in Boris as Mayor?

We're through the looking glass, people !

Well if the programme is meant to be about useless relics, Boris and Ken should both have been in it.
