In last nights edition of Coronation Street, Michelle Connor was seen to lash out at Steve McDonald with a vicious punch which fetched blood and knocked him to the ground.
The question I ask is, would this have been acceptable if the roles had been reversed, and Steve had done the same to Michelle.
I know, I know, it is not real, but this sort of thing gives out the wrong message, in these days of increased violence.

You are right. A man hitting a woman is seen as dreadful yet it is portrayed as amusing the other way around. I hadn't thought about it at the time, but I am with you on this.

YIP that is very true , and i also feel they should be given into trouble just for the mere fact the punch looked fake as hell !

A minor oversight by the writers, I suggest Jason needs to find out that Becky slept with Steve and on doing so he wallops her out of shot (like the michele?steve punch) then cut to her getting up of the floor with blood coming from her mouth... the same is it not.. As if this will happen.

Not only that, but hitting your employer is grounds for instant dismissal.
