Maria & Liams family

We were away when Maria had the stillborn baby, so didnt see corrie, what I wondered is how come both Maria and Liams family were not around for the funeral? where are Michelle and Ryan? I know Maria's parents live in Cypress but something as tragic as what they were going through i would have thought her family would be at least mentioned.

I agree, thought the same, the funeral was for family and close friends where was Michelle and Steve and Ryan and The Irish contingent they are usually first on the scene when there is a funeral. Also. some representation from Underworld. Marias parents should also have made an effort to be there, it was their grandchild. I know it is a "soap" but they should portray events more realistically

Liam said he didn't want to tell his parents as they would make a big fuss and he couldn't deal with that. Maria said her parents wouldn't be able to get over from Cyprus in time, I think Michelle and Ryan are in Ireland, so Liam was going to get Michelle to tell the parents after the event.
