pigon on my balconey

we live on the twelth floor of a block of flats just looked out and saw a pigon on our balconey the misses just asked how do u think it got up here.

Crafty things pigeons. It probably waited until someone opened the main front door and they tottered in behind it. Then when someone with a shopping bag got into the lift it jumped into their bag and hitched a lift to the 12th floor. It would have then looked for an open window but if there wasn't one, flew up to the ceiling and opened a air conditioning screen by unscrewing the screws with its beak. Once in the air conditioning tubes it would have tottered around until it found the inlet and squeezed its way through on to the roof. It then probably shimmied downb a drainpipe to the 12th floor balcony.

Or maybe it just flew up.
