anyone remember an ad with a ditzy blonde moll who leans out of a booth in a diner and, seeing 3 gangsters walk in with violin cases under their arms, squeals to her friend 'hey, they gotta band'. could it really be a margarine advert, as was suggested to me.

Blueband margarine? I wonder what happened to that then......
Think it was for some Birds Eye product, maybe beefburgers. Was the blonde Sandra Dickinson, anyone know?
There was also a drink called san rafael leombardo which featured gangster scenes. One guy said, "Hey, I think he just slipped him a Mickey Finn". A dopey ganster replied, "I thought he slipped him a san rafael leombardo". They had another ganster ad which I don't really remember well but it may be the one in question.
The gangster's moll was Sandra Dickinson, can't remember the product tho.
It was an orange drinks advert. Sandra Dickinson said "Oh they got a band". Then she finished off by saying "there aren`t any pips".
