Anybody remember the name of a film around the same era as Gregory's Girl? It was about a Scotish teenager who was obsessed with an Italian cycling team. He even began to speak in an Italian accent.

It was Breaking Away and he wasn't scottish. It was made in America by Peter (Summer Holiday, Bullitt) Yates and scripted by Steve Tesich. Fab movie. (Dennis Quaid has a support role.)
