After those Curry's ads, a punch in the face would be getting off lightly.

well yeah, pretty much. i'll even forgive you the criticism of the yorkshire accent. i really thought the days of these cheapo ads with their crappy jingles and pointless minor celeb appearances had passed. apparently not.

Question Author
I want to say I have NOTHING against Yorkshire, or the accent, in fact I used to live in Yorkshire, it is just her accent that drives me up the wall......

I think she's really sexy. I've never seen any of her DIY progs - I avoid such things, but i think she's nice, and the ad doesn't irritate me at all. Now that Building Society one with the cartoon manager with the Brummie accent ...AAAAARGH!

She is a bit irritating but at least it's not that Lawrence Lewellyn (sp) Bowen, now, I don't think I'd need to punch him in the face, I think if I said BOO it might make him run away....
Andy Hughes, I am with you 1000% on that one! I'm afraid I have resorted to swearing at the television when that ad comes on!

It's not her accent that annoys me - its her actual voice.

It does seem to be the pitch of her voice that annoys people, not so much the fact that she comes from Yorkshire. As for ruining peoples houses, a lot of folk like that kind of decor. Not to my taste, but I would not let my home be used in that way.She seems attractive in a plain and untarty way. Thats got to be good.

It's the exaggerated ''S''es that annoy me, and the over-use of the word 'fantastic', which so many presenters of DIY type programmes seem to use! Apart from that, I think she's OK!

I have to confess to finding her quite attractive.

It's not so much her accent it is the pitch of her voice that jarrs us especially when everything is "fantaaaaastic".
