We noticed an advert in our local paper this morning which read:

Irish Jay for sale - buyer to collect.

They meant of course an RSJ, but it did tickle us!

I think this is caused by the dumbos who take ads over the phone. I once wanted to adevrtise my double-pickup guitar for sale in good as new condition, The result was "Kramer bass for sale to pick up good as. New: �250"

our local paper frequently shows ads like 'carpet shampooer, very little use'...you know what they mean but it amuses me.
